Self-taught photographer, my work focuses on Latin America, especially Peru, where I lived for seven years. I deepened my knowledge with courses at the “Centro de la imagen” of Lima and the “Cooperativa de la Imagen” of Buenos Aires: as Psychoanalysis and photography, Visual anthropology, Photobook and visual narrative, Alternative processes…
I mainly work on the themes of emotions, nature, identity, and faith. Throughout my work, I identify beliefs imbued with mysticism in societies and cultures. My vision is almost an ethnographic approach to places, people, and traditions as a collector of moments with a poetic approach.
Finally, the confinement in 2020 has caused a shift in my work. Since then, I have been experimenting with alternative photographic processes such as cyanotype and lumen print on the themes of memory and time. As a result, I constantly discover new ways of creating images by inviting nature into the artistic process and losing control of the expected result.
My works have been exhibited in Latin America, Dubai, and France.
Photographe autodidacte, mon travail se concentre sur l'Amérique latine, en particulier sur le Pérou, où j'ai vécu pendant plus de 7 ans. J'ai alors approfondi mes connaissances avec des cours au « Centro de la imagen » de Lima et à la « Cooperativa de la Imagen » de Buenos Aire: Psychanalyse et photographie, Anthropologie visuelle, Livre d’artiste et récit visuel, Processus alternatifs…
Je travaille principalement sur les thèmes des émotions, de la nature, de l'identité et de la foi. Tout au long de mon travail, j'identifie des croyances empreintes de mysticisme dans les sociétés et les cultures. Mon regard est par endroits très marqué par une approche documentaire, quasi-ethnographique, mais se transforme, à mieux y regarder, en un point de vue qui cherche à représenter la société péruvienne de l’intérieur, en adoptant toujours une approche intime, poétique, de collectionneur d’instants.
Enfin, le confinement en 2020 a provoqué un tournant dans mon travail. Depuis, j'expérimente des procédés photographiques alternatifs comme le cyanotype et le lumen print sur les thèmes de la mémoire et du temps. De ce fait, je découvre constamment de nouvelles façons de créer des images en invitant la nature dans le processus artistique et en perdant le contrôle du résultat attendu.
Mes œuvres ont été exposées en Amérique latine, à Dubaï et en France.
